Effective Exercises For Busy People

Let’s admit it. People who are always busy like me (and maybe you) barely have enough sleep and to be honest, I haven’t done any workout for awhile. But don’t get me wrong, my interest in fitness is still there, I just cant find the time. I told myself that even a ‘tiny bit’ of exercises each day will be nice, but thinking and doing are usually two different things. And most of the time, it’s really not that I can’t spare 20-mins to do some Kettlebell training – (everyone by now should know what they are, if not then read my previous post), but I am just way too tired to even move! I am not motivated to do anything at all but sit and do things that don’t require me to move. Therefore, I usually find myself in 3 areas at home; in front of my desktop, in front of my laptop or in front of my TV (yeah… I bet most of us share the same lifestyle).

So last week, I thought about it and said to myself, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to keep my daily routine (computer & TV freedom), reserve a little time and energy each day for some general exercises? That’s like killing 3 birds in 1 stone! AHH HAA! Bingo!

So I started looking around the store and found the following gears. They are very inexpensive, portable and durable. BUT most of all, they are unbelievably EFFECTIVE and bring HUGE BENEFITS to someone lazy like me. So here is the list I came up with;

Squeeze Ball (55mm) – $5.99 – comes in blue and pink. I got the blue one! They are round (well, of course), used for hand, fingers, wrist and grip exercise and rehabilitation. They fit my hand very easily and comfortably. I usually play around with it when I am watching TV or on my laptop, reading news and other blogs.

75cm Anti-Burst Ball (Gym Ball) – $34.99 – provides support through exercises that stretch, strengthen and improve coordination. In addition to exercising with the squeeze ball on one hand, I also sit on one of these while reading on the monitor.

I highly recommend the Squeeze Ball + Anti Burst Ball combo. This ultimate combination doesn’t cost more than $40 together, and they are just GREAT and durable. They can last a very long time and are also portable. If you want to bring them with you on a trip or keep the Squeeze Ball in your bag all the time, that fine as well (Although I haven’t tried bring it personally yet).Like I said, with the squeeze ball, you can exercise anytime and anywhere. Even for just 1 minute every session – such waiting for computer to boot-up, watching youtube videos, MSN-ing or like right now, when you are reading this post. Its fun and effective!

Lastly, I am aware that sitting on the Gym Ball and playing with the Squeeze Ball everyday will never get me to 8-pack abs, but I know that they will at the very least keep me in better shape than I am now, and keep me motivated. I started spending 30 – 40 mins each day, doing nothing but sitting on the Gym Ball and on my laptop at the same time, AND I always feel great and fresh the next day. To all the geeks and lazy people out there (you know who you are) – go grab them today and you will never look back.

Oh and one last thing, I typed this ENTIRE post with one hand and have the other on my Squeeze Ball. I was also sitting on my Gym Ball. Now… that’s what I call the ULTIMATE MULTI-TASKING. If I can do it, you can too.
