Fight for Fitness

There are so many great benefits to martial arts! This high aerobic sport will get your heart pumping and melt your stress away. Punch, kick and channel your inner fighter! Get out your frustrations and get fit at the same time. Martial arts isn’t about violence, it is about self control, discipline and respect. All great qualities that will help you in all aspects of your life.

Here’s my Top 5 reasons I love martial arts for fitness:

Self confidence – Martial arts builds discipline and character. It encourages positivity and respect for values. You might get pushed out of your comfort zone at first but when you succeed at your goal, you will feel great!

It is a great total body work out! You will use every muscle group in this type of work out. Your strength, balance and stamina will all improve using martial arts for fitness.

Learn self defense while you work out. Learn life saving skills and get in shape at the same time. Not many work outs will teach you this!

Improves flexibility and coordination. Using all your muscle groups will help improve your flexibility and overall balance and you will notice this difference in all areas of everyday living and exercise.

Make new friends! Best part of all is getting to meet new people and make new friendships. Martial arts is all about supporting one another and helping each other out. Your competition is only yourself and no one else.

Martial arts might not be for everyone, but it might be right for you! You will never know if you don’t give it a try. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you just might be surprised at what your body can do and what great friendships you can make.
