Latest Strength Equipment Reviews from our Canadian Customers

  1. Top notch – Review by Dave

    Overall Rating

I purchased this cage from tmf Calgary and haven't regretted it one bit. Bang for the buck you won't find better. I opted to install ladder upside down since I'm only 5'9 and it's perfect. The cage is quite sturdy, it wiggles a bit with 180 on the smith bar doing squats but that's to be expected. 2 things I would list as complaints(minor) the hooks could b cut down just a touch to hook in better and the instructions are kinda bad. Beyond that this thing is amazing I have worked out in many gyms on many machines for over a decade and I love it no maybes.

  2. Simply Perfect – Review by Kevin M

This is the ideal power rack. It comes with the perfect amount of hooks for many configurations. The dip bars are a nice touch as well. If you're looking to start building your home gym, this power rack is the best centerpiece to build from. I highly recommend the lat/curl attachment.

  3. Fit505 Power Rack – Review by Dale

    Overall Rating

The Fit505 is perfect for home gym use. Great price. The construction and finish is as expected. The pull up bar is a sturdy attachment with multi grip options. It’s easy to assemble. It took me 90 minutes to build it. I assembled the two sides first then attached back base one side at a time and finished with pull up bar and top bar. Final step tighten all nuts and bolts. It comes with two tools but I recommend using socket ratchet and std wrench to assemble. It’s faster with these tools. I give Treadmillfactory 5/5 stars for price purchase and shipping and 5/5 to UPS delivery guy. I attached the landmine to the side of the rack. Would I recommend this rack YES.

  4. You get what you pay for – Review by Patrick L

    Overall Rating

I received this as an early Chrisrmas gift from my wife to accompany my fit505 power rack(best purchase I have ever made, I cannot recommend this rack enough!).

Treadmillfactory continues to blow my mind away with their excellent shipping. We received it 2 work days after we put the order, just like all previous orders. You'll be hard pressed to find a more reliable shipper.

As for the product itself, I'd give it a 7/10. While it is excellent value for money, and something I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others, I have a few grievances.

    1) the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I have a bit of a hard time properly seeing and distinguishing how I'm supposed to orient the pieces, or how tight I should screw the bolts.

    2) the welds, while functionally sound, are bad. Santa will be getting the person who welded this a grinder to tidy it up!

    3) the main metal frame that the weights slide on came scratched, and don't appear to have any rust proofing or paint on it. If its stainless steel this isn't an issue, but I'll be worried for rust in the longterm.

    As for the positive,

    1) great value for money! It came with a lat pulldown bar and a second bar for tricep pushdowns. I wasn't expecting that, or for them to be well made. All the bolts are nice and beefy, and I have no worries about using this up to 300lbs.

    2) the bearing in the pulleys are great and well greased, which leads me to believe it will last a long time and give smooth use for many workouts to come.

    3) its well made! Nothing on this feels cheap, minor grievances aside. Everything is bolted down properly, functions as advertised. A little tip, use silicon lubricant on the main guide frame. After doing so, it is smoother than many commercial gym setups I've used.

Overall I am pleased with the product. A missing sticker aside, everything needed for assembly was included, it operates very well and is a great addition to any home gym for the money. If they were to address the issues mentioned, I wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 stars like the 505power rack itself.

  5. Love it! – Review by C

    Overall Rating

I have a ~7foot ceiling so needed something small. This thing fits the bill. great for doing any exercise you would want. I also go the dip attachments. It wobbled a bit at first but after re-tightening the bolts a few times it's solid as a rock.

Took me about an hour to put it together by myself with 2 wrenches (get a ratchet!). I have no regrets about buying this!
