Loving 300 lbs of fun. First proper barbell (Posted on 2015-12-11)

  2. Great looking product and really don't take up much space. Review by Jason
    Overall Rating

They look as good, or better than on the site. Don't know if I'll do deadlifts or squats with them, but the girlfriend sure finds them cute. (Posted on 2015-11-14)

  3. Nice plates Review by Jason
    Overall Rating

I'd probably give them a 5 on 5, but they're a little rougher looking in person than how they look in the picture. They are a rough casting that's simply been painted and not anything more special than that. The smaller kit is very smooth as the pieces are made from ordinary steel and not cast. 4. Great product for the money Review by Jason
    Overall Rating

It's been quite a few weeks with this product, so here it goes,

Bar: Cosmetically as good as it gets. Knurling is perfect by being gentle enough and still strong enough without tearing skin apart. This makes it ideal for repeated O' lifts and cannot imagine a better knurl. I cannot compare this bar to Eleiko, Rogue, or any other well known bar as I've never tried them. The spin is excellent in comparison to my mid level bushing power lifting bar. There is side to side and up/down play in the sleeves. I thought something with bearings would be tight with zero play. I do not know if this is normal among other more expensive bars. One sleeve spins more freely than the other, but seems to be negligible when plates are loaded on it. The bar is also 100% truly straight.
Plates: Look good and seem quite robust. Minor imperfections, such as the allen head bolts on one of the 55 lb plates sticks out too far beyond the stainless inserts. Another would be the lining up of two of the stainless inserts on one 45 lb plate that were off by 1/8" from each other from the inside hole where the sleeve goes. The bounce off my platform is also very minimal.
I do not have experience with how well made other bumper plates are, but for the price of this kit, it's very hard to beat and I'm quite happy with it overall. (Posted on 2015-11-14)

  5. Plateau breakers! Review by Luc
    Overall Rating

Love these little plates for breaking plateaus and also for my kids. 5 lbs jumps is bit much for a teenager starting out. A bit pricey, but I don't regret it a bit. (Posted on 2015-11-11)
